Gdańsk, Sopot or Gdynia? Where to stay in the Tricity
2026-10-02Gdańsk, Sopot and Gdynia sit side by side on the Bay of Gdańsk and together make up the Tricity. The SKM commuter train links all three, so wherever you stay, the other two are easy to visit. Which city to choose depends mostly on what you are looking for: historic sights, the beach or a calm, modern city.
Gdańsk – history, the river and beaches
Choose Gdańsk if you want the Main Town with Długa Street, the Motława waterfront and Granary Island close by. Gdańsk also has its own beaches in Jelitkowo and Brzeźno, and the Polsat Plus Arena Gdańsk stadium is in Letnica. We have 31 apartments here, from apartments for 2 to apartments for 8 guests.
Sopot – the pier, the promenade and the sea
In Sopot it is a short walk from the Monte Cassino promenade to the pier and the beach. It is a good choice for a seaside break and evenings in the resort. We have 13 places to stay here: apartments near Monte Cassino, in Karlikowo and in Upper Sopot, plus the Sopocki Chill rooms.
Gdynia – a modern city by the sea
Gdynia means Kościuszko Square, the seaside boulevard and the cliff in Orłowo. The Pomeranian Science and Technology Park is in Redłowo, so Gdynia also works well for business trips. We have 7 apartments here, in the city centre, on St Maximilian's Hill and in Redłowo.
